From a heartbreaking story shared on YouTube to a powerful mission to end interpersonal violence, our partnership with The LOVE>hate Project has grown into something truly life-changing.
One of our first incredible Partner organizations is The LOVE>hate Project, founded by Buck Blodgett. Our powerful relationship began when MrBallen shared the story of Buck’s daughter in “The MONSTER in Her Bedroom Was Real” on YouTube—a story of unimaginable loss that Buck transformed into a mission to end interpersonal violence.
Recently, Buck and John met while John was on tour—a meaningful moment for us. Since partnering with the Love>Hate Project, we’ve awarded $120,000 in Honor Grants, fueling their impactful mission. Here’s how Buck describes this journey and partnership:
“When MrBallen deposited $25K into our nonprofit’s account in 2022, I didn’t know who he was. Then I met Laurie, the Executive Director, who assured me John was the real deal—and over the past two and a half years, the MrBallen Foundation has proven it time and again. Beyond generous annual grants, they’ve added two major ‘bonus’ grants to help us build our team and launch a scholarship in my daughter’s name. From tech support to strategic planning, their partnership has been a blessing beyond anything I could’ve imagined. Couldn’t have dreamed up a better partner, couldn’t feel more blessed.”
