We believe impact is not just about supporting established organizations. It’s also about investing in promising ideas before they have the resources to stand on their own.
That’s why we’re excited to launch a new form of support: the Bridge Grant.
Designed to help emerging organizations and ideas build a strong foundation, the Bridge Grant provides three-year funding, strategic guidance, and accountability. Rather than simply writing a check, we walk alongside these organizations as they grow, helping them build sustainable systems, and reach key milestones.
We’re honored to announce that the first recipient of a Bridge Grant is Children of Homicide Victims. Based in Kansas City, COHV exists to restore love, faith, and hope to children who have lost a parent to homicide. Through counseling, support groups, community events, mentorship, and healing-centered programming, they help young people navigate grief, trauma, and loss while building a brighter future.
Through this three-year Partnership, the MrBallen Foundation will provide funding that gradually transitions from direct support toward long-term sustainability, while meeting quarterly with the COHV team to help achieve their goals and strengthen the organization. Ultimately, the goal is simple: help great programs get off the ground and create a lasting impact for the people and families they serve.
This is more than a grant. It’s an investment in the future.
