This Year's Angels In The Outfield Holiday Store

Every year, our Partner, the Angels In The Outfield, opens their annual Holiday Store, a program that brings joy to children who have endured unthinkable trauma. Instead of receiving preselected gifts, kids are invited to “shop” for items that make them feel seen and valued. For many, it is the first moment in a long time where they feel hope and a sense of normalcy during the holidays.

This work matters. These kids carry more than many of us have ever imagined.

Melissa, age 14, has endured physical and sexual abuse in her adoptive home and is now living in a group setting for girls who have been sexually exploited. She continues to wrestle with the trauma, loss, and fractured family relationships that shape her daily life.

Sara, age 6, has survived severe neglect and abuse, including cigarette burn scars across her body. She was once found in the middle of the road on a freezing January night while her biological mother was passed out nearby. Loud noises and unfamiliar situations still trigger deep fear.

These are the children Angels in the Outfield shows up for, not just during crises but especially during the holidays when the emotional weight can feel even heavier.
