Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

We also want to take a moment to honor our founder, @mrballen, a former Navy SEAL who has carried his commitment to service far beyond the military. John’s dedication to sharing untold stories and supporting victims and families impacted by violent crime is the foundation of our mission. His service, both in uniform and now through storytelling and advocacy, continues to inspire everything we do at the MrBallen Foundation.

Each year on Memorial Day, MrBallen carefully selects a non-profit organization and awards them an Honor Grant that reflects our mission of honoring those who have served our country. After careful consideration, we’re proud to announce our 2025 Memorial Day Honor Grant recipient paws4people!

Paws4People is an internationally accredited nonprofit based in Wilmington, NC, that provides highly trained psychiatric and mobility Service Dogs to Veterans living with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and other service-connected challenges. These dogs are carefully matched and trained to support each Veteran’s unique needs, providing not only critical assistance but also renewed independence, stability, and connection.

Over the last 25 years, they’ve placed 1,650 service dogs, with hundreds currently active across the country. Their veteran-focused programs are rooted in dignity, healing, and long-term support. An impressive 95% of their proceeds go directly into these training programs.

To support their mission, the MrBallen Foundation is awarding them a $10,000 Honor Grant. We’re honored to Partner with Paws4People as they help Veterans reclaim their freedom, one life-saving dog at a time.
