LOVE>hate brings “The Forgiveness Class” to inmates across 7 state prisons...

Healing can happen anywhere, even inside prison walls.

We’re proud to highlight our Partner, LOVE>hate, and the continued growth of their Forgiveness Program inside state prisons. This year, they added two new facilitators to their team, meaning six facilitators will now bring “The Forgiveness Class” to inmates across 7 state prisons. That means their programming will now reach 20% of the prisons in their state.

One participant, shared how years of addiction, anger, depression, and unforgiveness led him through cycles of pain and incarceration. But through this program, something began to change.

“Before I came to prison I had drug & alcohol addictions. I was in and out of relationships, bringing different women around my children, arguing, fighting, and just going through the emotional roller coaster. My mind was in prison. There was no way of escape. Then I went to prison for 15 years and lost two children in the process. My heart grieved with anger, unforgiveness and other factors. Then when I got released I got a chance to spend time with family & friends, but depression, anger, & unforgiveness still stuck in my mind. My anger and depression led me back to prison. Then this group came into play. So I decided to sign up & see what this program was about. It started off slow but then over the next 10 weeks this program opened my heart to a different outlook on life. As I read the book & did the homework, my heart began to change from having anger to having mercy & compassion. This program has truly changed my life for the better.”
