CreatiVets Featured on the Today Show!

We’re thrilled to share that our Partner CreatiVets was recently featured on the Today Show, bringing national attention to their powerful work helping veterans heal through art and music. CreatiVets provides opportunities for veterans to process trauma, tell their stories, and rebuild community through creative expression through songwriting, visual art, and collaborative performances.

The Today show segment highlighted a remarkable moment in the life of a 101 year old veteran who fulfilled a lifelong dream by becoming a songwriter. He wrote a song called ‘If Freedom Was Free’ which was then performed, recorded, and released to the public as a part of a 5 song collection all written by veterans.

Seeing this work recognized on a national platform is meaningful not only for the organization, but for every veteran whose voice has been amplified through this program.
