Hope Grants

Expedited financial assistance for crime victims and their families. 

We are likely meeting you at the hardest time of your life. We move urgently and efficiently to provide immediate assistance to victims in emergency situations. 

Our Hope application form is the first step in this process and all information is kept strictly confidential. Applications are reviewed within 48 hours. Grants awarded up to $10,000*.

*We will occasionally consider larger grant requests. 

Grant Guidelines

This grant is meant to be responsive to the immediate needs of those impacted by a heinous crime. 

  • US resident age 18 or older 
  • Victims or family members of a victim of a heinous crime

Examples of uses of Hope Grants: 

  • Mental health treatment
  • Legal fees
  • Basic living expenses due to income loss
  • Medical care
  • Funeral expenses

Honor Grants

The MrBallen Foundation Honor Grant Program provides financial grants to 501c3 organizations that support victims or families of victims who have been affected by a heinous crime.

These grants are awarded quarterly up to the amount of $25,000*.

The Honor grants can be used for a wide range of projects or programs. To qualify, your organization must provide services to victims and/or victims’ families of heinous, egregious, and/or accidental death or dismemberment. To apply, please fill out our Honor grant inquiry form in its entirety, attaching your IRS determination letter and a budget summary for the project you are requesting funds for.

*We will occasionally consider larger grant awards. 

Who is eligible? 

  • Organizations with 501c3 status that provide services for those affected by heinous crimes are invited to apply 
  • Provide a complete project proposal and budget with your application
  • Provide proof of 501c3 status
