Hope Grants

Expedited financial assistance for crime victims and their families. 

We are likely meeting you at the hardest time of your life. We move urgently and efficiently to provide immediate assistance to victims in emergency situations. 

Our short hope form is the first step in this process and all information is kept strictly confidential. Applications are reviewed within 48 hours. Grants awarded up to $10,000.

Please note: Lengthy explanations are not necessary. It is critical that your application be aligned with the MrBallen Foundation mission and that the applicant or the applicant’s family are victims of a heinous, egregious and/or crime resulting in accidental death or dismemberment.  Examples of such crime include, rape, genocide, homicide, violent crimes against children, sex trafficking, arson or robbery resulting in death.  This grant is intended to be a one-time assistance grant.

Hope Grant Guidelines: 

This grant is meant to be responsive to the immediate and emergency needs of those impacted by a heinous crime. 

Who is eligible? 

  • US resident age 18 or older 
  • Victims or family members of a victim of a heinous crime that are able to provide a police or fire report for verification.

Examples of uses of Hope Grants: 

  • Mental health treatment
  • Legal fees
  • Basic living expenses due to income loss
  • Medical care
  • Funeral expenses
